Introduced to the Corgi line in 1964, the Buick Riviera was produced in gold, bleu metallic, and bleu pale.
It was equipped with Glidamatic suspension and Corgi’s innovative “Trans-O-Lite” front and rear lights, which could be activated independently by placing a hand on the windshield or rear window.
Unusually for a Corgi model, it featured a tow hook at the rear that could be attached to a separately available boat and trailer (Corgi 104).
The model sold well on both sides of the Atlantic—more than 800,000 units were produced—and remained in production until 1968.
